Mba Ekpezu Ukweni, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has alleged that the Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria paid heavy ransom before the abducted Dapchi girls were released. Speaking with DAILY POST on phone on Thursday, the SAN regretted that FG was very economical with the truth over the release of the abducted girls. He alleged that ransom collected from the FG was what the Boko Haram used in buying sophisticated arms used in threatening and kidnapping more people. “Many people in the present government are behind Boko Haram. I said it with all amount of seriousness. It is sad that they don’t know the exact number of people who were released hence they came out with conflicting figures.
